The World War III
Prophet MuḥammadSAW is reported to have said:
وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ؛ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُالرَّزَّاقِ؛ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرُ؛ عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ، قَالَ: هٰذَا مَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُوْ هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰهِ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَذَكَرَ أَحَادِيْثَ مِنْهَا: وَقَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللّٰهِ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: لَا تَقُوْمُ السَّاعَةُ حَتّٰى تَقْتَتِلَ فِئَتَانِ عَظِيْمَتَانِ، وَتَكُوْنُ بَيْنَهُمَا مَقْتَلَةٌ عَظِيْمَةٌ، وَدَعْوَاهُمَا وَاحِدَةٌ.
“Muḥammad b. Rāfi‘ narrated to us; ‘Abd al-Razzāq narrated to us; Ma‘mar narrated to us; from Hammām b. Munabbih, he said; This is what Ḥaḍrat Abū Hurayrara narrated to us from Ḥaḍrat RasūlullāhSAW; Afterwards, Hammām mentioned some traditions, inter alia: The hour will not take place until two great groups seek to kill each other. There will be between both of them a great death scene, while they have a common call.”1
Explanation: This is a very clear prophecy concerning the third world war. Every sentence here represents the coming occurrence, not in a manner that is separated, but which relates to each other. First, the Holy ProphetSAW mentioned an incident of killing between two great groups. The word فئة is used in Arabic to portray a large group of people from many different fields of work and political realms, but they have one purpose and goal. On the other side, the adjective عظيمة is never written, except to show a very influential and eminent matter or person. So, the phrase فئتان عظيمتان actually refers to the two superpower alignments in today’s world, i.e. the West and the East. We know that there are indeed many frictions even in the body of the West itself. Nevertheless, when they face the communism of the East, they raise their heads up under one determination and goal in the name of capitalism. Both capitalism and communism have been moving the heaven and the earth with a galaxy of ways to predispose or even govern countries in their names. They influence and work on them by executing a plenty of indirection and spoof. The top iota of the whole happening is that, when everything can no longer be controlled and all the doors are closed, the third world war will awfully erupt and explode, engulfing the entire face of the earth. The word مقتلة عظيمة or ‘a great death scene’ points to nothing apart from the world itself. It means that no country, إلا ما شاء الله, will not take a part, or at least every country will get a certain impact. The one call referred to by the tradition is, as we have already been aware of, each and every of the great alignments claims to be the savior of human race, the police of the world. They have been striving and struggling in a prestigious competition to bring over countries to join them, either socially orscientifically. Such a thing is a public secret for us. In the end, once again, Islam will gain the glorious victory and the victorious glory as we had in the past through the soldiers of Sayyidunā ‘Umar b. al-Khaṭṭābra when they crushed the Byzantine regime of Heraclius and the Sassanid Empire of Yazdegerd III. The difference is that the next victory will not transpire through the agency of any physical gun. Nay, the prayers of the troops of Ḥaḍrat Mirzā Ghulām Aḥmadas, the Promised Messiah and Mahdī, will shake the throne of the Creator of all the worlds. Inshā’ Allāh!
وَعْدَ اللّٰهِ ۖ لَا يُخْلِفُ اللّٰهُ وَعْدَهُ وَلٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُوْنَ يَعْلَمُوْنَ ظَاهِرًا مِّنَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ عَنِ الْآخِرَةِ هُمْ غَافِلُوْنَ
“With the help of Allah. He helps whom He pleases and He is the Mighty, the Merciful. Allah has made this promise. Allah breaks not His promise, but most men know not. They know only the outer aspect of the life of this world and of the hereafter they are utterly unmindful.”2
